Chiloquin Native Plant Garden Tour - led by Joan Rowe

Chiloquin Native Plant Garden Tour, sponsored by the Klamath Basin Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon is open to everyone. 

Supplies: It is recommended that you wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet. Bring sun screen and/or a hat, and be prepared for mosquitoes. You may also want to bring water and lunch or snacks on the trip.

Meeting Place: Meet at 39560 Modoc Point Rd, just north of the Wood River Wetland parking area.

Directions: To get there from Klamath Falls take 97 north to Modoc Point Rd (signed as Williamson River Resort Area turn off).  Follow Modoc Point Rd for 10 miles. From Chiloquin, take 422 north to its junction with Modoc Point Rd, turn left and drive about 1 mile. The house is located on the Wood River Canal.

What to Expect: We will see native plants along the canal, native plants used as ornamentals in a garden, and an unirrigated 1/3 acre area that is being converted from weeds to native plants.  

Physical Requirements: None. Hike suitable for everyone.
