Help us kick off the new year on Monday Jan. 5, 6 PM at the Klamath County Museum. Garin Riddle Sr., Director of the Culture and Heritage department will present on various plant foods, medicines, and materials significant to the Klamath Tribes. Kaitlin Hakanson, Archaeologist in the Culture and Heritage department (and Chapter member) will assist in the presentation. The presentation will highlight the cultural importance and traditional uses of these resources. A slideshow will feature photographs and the names of most of the highlighted plants, provided in both Klamath and Modoc languages. Additionally, Paiute names will be included for some of the plants.
